Smart Electronic Notary

Service overview  

In light of the Government's tendency to transform the Emirate of Dubai into a smart city, Dubai Courts launched an innovative service called (Smart Electronic Notary) which meet the needs of public and complete their transactions at the shortest time and in a smart manner, which translates the directions of our wise leadership in shifting towards a smart government without asking customers to visit notary public branches.

 

Dubai Courts always keens to find innovative interactive channels to meet customers' needs and increase their happiness level by facilitating smart services for them and by providing an integrated system of smart services.

 

The system includes all the services of the notary public including POAs, acknowledgments and legal warnings.

 

The service includes the stages of registration, data entry, attaching supporting documents to the auditor, paying fees, checking, verifying capacity and eligibility through the system via virtual or personal attendance, signing and receiving the certified document. All these steps are done electronically.

 

This system is one of the systems which is associated with Dubai Smart Government.

 

Main Service

Attestation of Power of Attorneys.

Documents

  1. Upload your Emirates ID or passport (PDF). If it is not included through the integration system with Dubai Smart Government.
  2. Upload PDF documents which prove the capacity and eligibility of the legal representative (if any). If they are issued from outside the country, they shall be duly attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and legally translated into Arabic and attested by the Ministry of Justice.
  3. Upload PDF copy of the trademark registration certificate if you are applying for trademarks related power of attorney. 
  4. Upload PDF copy of a trade license if you are applying for companies and establishments related power of attorney.
  5. Upload PDF copy of the certificate of determination of the heirs / death certificate in case of applying for inheritance power of attorney.
  6. Upload PDF copy of the guardian’s death certificate to apply for marriage purposes power of attorney.
  7. Upload PDF copy of the marriage contract / marriage document if you are applying for power of attorney for divorce purposes. 
  8. Upload PDF copy of the property title deed if you are applying for a property related power of attorney.
  9. Upload PDF copy of the vehicle ownership certificate if you are applying for vehicle related power of attorney.
  10. Upload PDF copies of all relevant documents if you are applying for establishments related power of attorney.

 

Conditions

  1. The applicant or legal representative must have completed 21 lunar or Gregorian years and, if less, then the guardian, trustee, or curator shall apply on his behalf.
  2. If any part is interdicted, the Guardian shall act on his behalf to sign after obtaining permission from the competent authority.
  3. All documents shall be legally translated into Arabic and attested by the Ministry of Justice in UAE, and if issued from outside the country, the same shall be attested by the official authorities: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the concerned country, UAE embassy in the concerned country and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, UAE.

 

Fees

- Attestation on Powers of Attorney AED 100 for each signature of the parties to the POA.

Customer Journey

  1. Subscription registration (client with digital identity will be granted a user name and password).
  2. Select the service type.
  3. Enter the data and ID number.
  4. Selection of articles.
  5. Attach the service's supporting documents.
  6. Electronic payment of fees.
  7. The stage of automatically directing the system to the document, so that the system determines its outcomes based on the service settings or the client’s choice of the judge or the document, which determines if the service’s need to be scrutinized without the presence of the parties or with their virtual or personal presence, based on the data and information entered by the applicant when he identify the parties and their electronic signatures by sending an OTP Code.
  8. Legal and administrative auditing of the transaction is done by the auditor by reviewing the entries, fees, the document and attachments with verification of agencies in the event of a non-personal representation of one of the parties to the transaction.
  9. Approval and authorization or requesting modifications to the transaction to be completed by the client before sending it back for verification or rejection with reasoning, an OTP code will be sent again in case of amendments.
  10. Signature and approval of the service provider.
  11. Communicating with the client through the notary public virtually or with actual presence.
  12. Receipt of the transaction via e-mail.

 

Result

Attested Power of Attorney

This service allows client to obtain an attested power of attorney that enables him to authorize others to represent him in all the actions he desires.

All segments of society, it is a service available to all legal and moral persons.

 

Note:

  • The service can be applied for 24 hours a day on all devices running Windows, IOS, Android, and it shall be audited during official working hours.
